The Canadian Institute for Advanced Research invited me to moderate a panel discussion at GDC titled “The Future of VR: Neuroscience and Biosensor Driven Development” featuring CIFAR scholars Craig Chapman and Alona Fyshe, as well as Jake Stauch, the founder & CEO of NeuroPlus.
Chapman is a movement neuroscientist from the University of Alberta, and Alona Fyshe was at the University of Victoria at the time, but is now at University of Alberta, and her focus is on computational linguistics, machine learning, and neuroscience.
This is an ambient audio recording of the hour-long GDC panel discussion where we start a dialogue between the latest insights from neuroscience, and how game developers could start to engage with the neuroscience community to help design experiences that could assist with basic research into neuroscience.
